Photography Contest

Contest Rules

1. The contest is open only to actual participants in the Lee’s Summit Photo Walk.
2. Photos must be the sole work of the person under whose name they are submitted. Children may receive limited assistance from adults.
3. Participants in the 2011 Lee's Summit Photo Walk may submit up to 2 photographs taken October 15, 2011, between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. along the official route or designated shortcuts or detours.
4. An individual may submit in only 1 category.
5. Photographs must be appropriate for family-friendly publication.
6. Photos must be submitted in JPEG format. Photographers must name files in part with their last name and first initial.

8. The photographer must submit the following required information:
   • First and last name
   • Email address
   • Phone number
   • City & state of residence
   • Category: Children (12 and under), Young Adult (13-18), Adult(19-64), Distinguished Adult (65+) or Professional
   • For each photograph, provide a brief description to assist with captioning.

Judging and Use of Photographs

1. Judging will take place as soon as possible after close of entries.
2. Judging will be conducted by professional photographers.
3. The identities of contest entrants will be concealed from judges. Influential Expression Consulting, LLC staff will have sole access to identifying information for contest entries until the conclusion of judging.
4. Winning photographs will be published in media outlets who have been granted permission by the Sponsors of the Lee’s Summit Photo Walk.
5. Any photographs submitted for judging may be published by media outlets at the discretion of the organizers of the Lee’s Summit Photo Walk for the purpose of providing news about the Photo Walk.
6. Any photographs submitted for judging may be used by the Lee’s Summit Photo Walk for the purpose of publicizing or promoting this or future Lee’s Summit Photo Walks.
7. The photographer retains all other rights to photographs submitted for judging.

Awards

Fan Favorite Photo

Voting will be conducted on Facebook and on LeesSummitPhotoWalk.org.

Entries will be displayed for voting without identifying the photographer or category.

Influential Expression Consulting, LLC will tally votes and announce the winner.

• Young Adult: Ages 13-18

• Adult: Ages 19-64

• Senior: Ages 65+

• Professional

Winners and Runners-Up

All photographs recognized by awards will be published under Contest on www.leessummitphotowalk.org for a minimum of one year. Prizes will be awarded as announced.
